| Today hius recordings are still featured on Gmmy Radio by Yours Truly. In the 50's growing up in Boston I became a fan, and in the the early 70's, I was a radio host, on WHET [Now defunct]and you could count Dick Lee's recordings were always a part of my show. Today in California on my own Radio station, GMMY RADIO [Broadcasting worldwide] Dick Lee is still part of my musical format. For ages I have been trying to locate him to interview him and meet him. As a matter of fact I am working on an article about him. For those who may be interested you can visit my website titled;
"GOLDEN MUSIC MEMORIES OF YESTERYEAR" For short "GMMY. The URL is as follows; www.gmmy.com You can also tune into Gmmy Radio where we feature the good music or the 30's, 40's and 50's. For sure you will not hear any of that other stuff I call
"N-O-I-S-E" We play; "M-U-S-I-C"
To tune in here is the URL:

Our musical format is simple "ITS A LABOR OF LOVE" keeping the great singers like Dick Lee flowing over our airwaves
God Bless Dick Lee

| ...on Gmmy Radio, thanks Frankie dee for pointing us to this forum. I do remember Dick Lee, back in the early 50's, as mentioned on your special tribute show today. Dick Lee had one heck of a set of pipes. God bless him.

| Hello Dick Lee!!!
When I came out of the Army in the early 70's Dick gave me job at his night club in Belmawr NJ!! It was a nice thing for him to do. I had a great time meeting the great rock and roll stars who appeared at the club. I worked with his brother Ralph who kept me in stitches telling me his stories as a Police Detective in Philly! His wife Patsy was one of the nicest people you ever wanted to meet! But the one thing that stands out, was when Dick invited me over to his house for the Super Bowl (the year Miami when undefeated) and great food, fun, comardie etc. and then handed me $100.00 knowing that I was up against it financially, was a class act. I was one of those guys who "all I wanted was a chance" and Dick Lee tried to give it to me.
In closing I remember a act at the club, I believe his name was Cookie Jar, and he would always say "Hello Dick Lee" and I say "Thank You Dick Lee, Thank you Dick"
